A word from the editor:
We can't hold back spring, which is reflected by our updates on the landing page for the month of May. Newly featured, a video from Tom Waits, entitled "you can never hold back spring".
Several things are happening in the upcoming weeks, including events with Ezekiel Project, an outreach of MCCGSL. Daniel was an active participant with this ministry, and we are proud to invite you to the next public event~ :"LOVE LETTERS", which will be a dramatic performance held at 1919 S. Broadway (the new home of MCCGSL) this takes the place of the Annual International AIDS Candlelight observance. (ALL ARE INVITED)
In the month of April, we completed our reservations for the next annual Metro-East Pride Festival. This will include a display of Daniel's artwork (not for SALE), as well as promotional items for his website, as well as an opportunity for our readers to meet us first hand, and see the original works in person. We are also proud to announce that Daniel McCree Artwork is now on Digital Display at MySLART.org a local art consortium, and online gallery.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED~ We are actively seeking anyone who is interested in serving DanielMcCree.Org at the Metro-East Pride Festival in Belleville. This event takes place on June 20th. We are looking for additional volunteers for the Vendor Booth, and/or to participate in the MEP Board meetings prior to the event. Anyone interested in this may contact us at: editor@danielmccree.org

WHAT's COMING UP IN MAY??
For the Month of May, we will be updating the landing page, Featured Art Selections, and Playlists. We have veered away from some of our original music, and are glad to have a "throwback" to some forgotten tunes. We will also be focusing on updates to the Belleville Pride website, in preparation of the upcoming festival. In the next week or so, we will have the opportunity to memorialize Daniel, on the floor of our new sanctuary. Everyone is invited to join us, and write your thoughts, a prayer, or draw a picture, in remembrance of our dear freind. Following the ceremony, Carpet will be layed over our work, creating a time-capsule.

March 2009 Newsletter
The justinePETERSEN Staff Tour, of the justBIZ facility (EMERSON PARK METRO STATION)
A note from the editor:
The past month has brought many changes, and challenges. If you are among our readers that have followed the progress of MCCGSL as we prepare "a place to call home", you have witnessed a few miracles along the way. With a loan reduction of more than 400K, and a further delay and shortfall of an additional 300K. This had put the construction at 1919 S. Broadway on hold temporarily while God planed a new direction for us. Alas, the table has been set, and overflows with bread for our journey.
Pictured above, is the staff of justinePETERSEN on our recent tour of the justBIZ location. As you know, I beleive this place at the Emerson Park Metro station, is very much a place Daniel would have used on a regular basis, offering computers and internet access and more. It has been an honor to be the full-time staff here, and think of Daniel every time I see a train pass. I intend to display some of Daniel's Artwork at justBIZ, as soon as I can decide which peice will fit in best.
Also new in March 2009, The Daniel McCree Art Gallery has partnered with MYSLART.org to offer some original works to the online consortium of local artists. We are proud to announce that Daniel has his own Gallery at www.MySLART.org . We are currently working on some site renovations that will feature prominently this collection, and the MySLART collection. Currently you will find the Gallery under "CHARITY ORGANIZATIONS" http://danielmccree.org/charity.aspx
