Notes from the editor:

Many things have taken place during the month of October, and we are proud to announce several new developments. We recently updated NEW ARTWORK to the Art Gallery, and making its landing page debut today: Daniel's Birthday Tribute Video!

Playlist.com, the platform used for the music at DanielMcCree.org, has been undergoing BETA testing of a new format, and has resulted in less favorable performance of the playlists for the past week. We expect these issues to resolve themselves in the next few days, but we apoligize for the inconvienence.

October brought the debut of THE HOPE AND HELP CENTER, an online resource ministry of MCCGSL. MCC of Greater St. Louis, was proud to announce more than 1 million of the Capital Campaign's Goal, has been pledged by 78 families thus far. This is still short of the total 2.8 Million Goal, however tommorow, during the CELEBRATION SUNDAY, the members will learn about our next "milemarker" on this journey.

October 25th, The Building Together Team, hosted a Church-Wide Event at the Planetarium, More than 300 people attended the event.

As a part of the Keynote address, Rev. Carol Trissell, made special tribute and memorial to Daniel McCree, as one of our church family members, that have gone to be with God. I was very proud to know that the members of MCC have also devoted themselves to remembering Daniel, as he was so passionate about the ministries of MCCGSL.

**There will be a special edition of the NEWSLETTER published on NOV 21st, as we observe and celebrate Daniel McCree's Birthday. For it was a beautiful day on November 21, 1979 that Daniel first graces the playground we call earth. And his mother Kayla Kistner embarked on a Faith Journey of her own in raising and encouraging Daniel along his pathway.

The Novemeber 21st release will have several updates, including new ARTWORK, and news developments. (how Daniel's sprit continues to live on in each of us) We will share a few great stories.

Buck Postawko is only ONE of the more than 1,700 LGBT youth that commit suicide each year. As the editor at DanielMcCree.Org, it was Buck who inspired much of what the website is today. And I have come to know Roxanne, his loving mother- through her work with virtual memorials.

I invite everyone to learn more about this boys amazing life!

The Hope and Help Center

Many of you already know what an honor it has been to have developed DanielMcCree.org. For in knowing Daniel, my life would never again be the same as it was. Over the past year, the website began to take on a life of its own. It was Daniel, that insisted I return to MCCGSL nearly ten years after I first visited. And in his untimely death, much as in life, he was very persistant as to what I was to do. Including the development of his website, and my involvement in MCC churches. Daniel himself, took a 45min train ride, and a 3/4mile walk to get to St. Johns nearly every Sunday. So MCC really became my church home through knowing him.

So I was of course honored, when I was asked to take part in the development of The Hope and Help Center, as a way to further the causes Daniel himself felt so strongly about. Let us not forget he took in a homeless woman, and tended to spend his foodstamp money on his neighbors.
So the powerful concept known as THE HOPE AND HELP CENTER, is a ministry of MCC of Greater St. Louis, and hopes to become a community resource center for anyone thay may be in need. Once again, it too has taken on a life of its own, opening up possibilities not yet imagined.

I wanted to take note of the websites Launch, and know that Daniel's spirit has once again shown itelf through the Holy Spirit within each of us.

Sept 08 Site Reports now Available!

We have finished the site reports for September 2008.

These site reports are a calculation of the website statistics, including how much traffic the website received in a given month, by number of visitors and page views. It also shows what websites refer the most visitors, as well as keywords used in search engines to find DanielMcCree.org.

We have published these reports since the website began in July 2007.
I think what amazes me is the keywords... somethings are words that are so unique, it amazes me how they find Daniel's memorial website. It is important to note: Site Reports do not tabulate traffic on mirror sites, or on the RSS feed / Blogspot traffic. Only traffic on the central domain is calculated. However, these are reflected under the domains which refer, you can see what traffic is arriving from them.

In Brief, the month of September DanielMcCree.org received 852 visits, and 2,101 pages viewed.

This is a little less than the month prior.
The domain sending the most traffic: 1st & 2nd place is internal traffic (within DanielMcCree.org) 3rd place is GOOGLE, bringing 92 visits and 235 page views.
