Daniel McCree- Artist & Writer (1979-2007)

Emily Smith, the St. Louis Regional Director attended Metro East Pride on June 16th in Belleville.

She was glad to present our annual release of artwork to seven individuals who have made significant contributions to the community over the past year. These individuals are not often recognized for their service and we were glad to take a moment to tell each of them "Thank You". 
This years recipients were as follows:

• Rev. Dianna Scarlet-Thomas, -Well of Living Water Ministries
• Angela Barnes -Bethany Place Director
•  John Campbell -MCC of Greater St. Louis / Ezekiel Project HIV Minsistry
• Teresa Schmidt -PFLAG-Belleville Chapter
• Robyn C. Montague -TransHaven / St Louis LGBT Shelter & Housing Advocacy Project
• Jessie Arms -Belleville Transgender & Friends
• Colin Murphy -MEPSI Board & St. Louis LGBT History Project

The Foundation produced a total of 10 prints this year, and will present the remaining artwork to individuals in the coming weeks and months.  We wish to thank each of our community members and business owners who have supported our endeavors over the past 6 years.

2012 Limited Release for Metro East Pride

We will be presenting our limited release for 2012. (JUNE 16th) visit us online to view our prints from the past few years.

The 2012 Release is a limited edition of 10 prints.  We will be happy to present these to individuals who make a difference throughout the year in the communities of Southern Illinois.   This years recipients include Angela Barnes of Bethany Place, Teresa Schmidt of PFLAG-Belleville, and Jessie Arms, of CESJ and co-founder of Metro East Pride.
