Happy Holidays from the Foundation!

One thing i learned from my dad (daniel kluthe) was how to live with integrity. Part of this means keeping your word, and when you fail to do so..,admit it. So in that spirit... i have failed to honor my promise to send Daniels mother a number of items promised 6mos ago. I will someday sooner than later make good on that commitment. Its certainly not forgotten.

I love the "id", how can you not with all those bells and whistles! - Daniel McCree

So after nearly 4 years living in Joplin, MO; that voice inside my head has urged me today to go to the Library and get a library card.   Sound like anyone you know?  LOL

It might seem odd to you, but since 2007, I have maintained Danny's email account, and I used to spend hours talking to him through the email portal.   I found it to be a good way for my thoughts to go down as words, and usually if I request a question, in short order the answers I seek find their way into my psyche.

For a month now, i have been trying to remember a phrase Danny used to say, and all I could remember was that it ended in "how can you not... with all those bells and whistles".   Then just the other night it hit me.   I am currently struggling with my ego, that voice in your head that knows all your weaknesses and seems determined to push every button that will make me feel inadequate in being who I am.

I have to remind myself that I AM enough, just as I am.   And that I am unique and offer those who choose to be in my life something unique that cannot be duplicated.   When my monkey ran off to join the circus I was left feeling as if I could in no way compete with all those bells and whistles.

So the phrase is:   I love the "id"~  how can you not with all those bells and whistles.
(for background)  see Sigmund Freud  who believed that our psyche was divided into three parts, the "id" , the "ego" and the "super-ego".    The "id" being the instinctual nature that lives in each of us, and the super-ego which tells us that all things are possible.    The Ego, sits in the center and mediates between the other two.  I tend to find individuals in my life who could be described as the "id" and I must say that when you meet such a character they can be quite insistent.    Many of you may have once recieved emails from Danny that might read...   "Whales"   go look it up and send me a picture of whales.

Pomagranite Apple

A pomagranite apple says to me, "rewards often rise from this, listen??.."Ching".
Act now to improve your self esteem. Its necessary.
Refresh your sense of Jesus and plan on change being everywhere- all the time, wherever you are, you're the parent.
A free nihl could arise from this, a math brain could figure it out from here, me I just wonder, If alls gonna be will like that song says, drops of Jupiter in here hair, but I guess I know that guessing grows, and one leap leads you truly madly deeply towards the next one, imagining the next event when the whole time you could have been calculating outcomes, knowing the highest probable answer and instead laughing because so you thought, leather bound novels often hold onto what is forthwith?? exclaiming true and truism as examples of heathen splendor depauched, what if my father wasnted me to do the math and make babies, was that the meanest joke in the world, calling me into there place andrearranging reality,
K callin it jesus and laughing at me while the kings became rulers and the math just didn't compute with the true?.To gibe me an answer to my actual flesh and bone body would (READ MORE) PAGE 15

Help Us Start a Monthly Artisan Market at MCCGSL!

Help Us Start a Monthly Artisan Market at MCCGSL!

We need your help! Here's a chance to help start an all new program at MCC! This is an opportunity for exposure to another segment of the community AND a new fund raiser utilizing our parking lot. We need MANY TALENTS! Everything from advertising and marketing to preparing and reviewing contracts to set up/clean up and someone to organize a drink/hospitality booth!

Please join Rev. Pressley, Tommy Lawless and Ben Birkner for the planning and organizing meeting. Wednesday, May 8, at 7p, in MCC's West Classroom. If you can't make that meeting, we STILL WANT YOU! Just email artisanmarket@mccgsl.org about your interest, or with your questions, and Tommy or Ben will get back to you.

God's creative gifts are everywhere. This monthly ArtisanMarket in our parking lot, will give local artists, crafters and food artisans an opportunity to sell their art, wares and products. We hope to host our first market in June 2013. Don't miss the chance to be part of the planning team.
Daniel McCree was a part of MCC of Greater St. Louis Church congregation until his suicide in 2007.  The devotion he had to this "family" was that his attendance required him to walk several block and board a metrolink train (in Belleville) and ride it nearly an hour to the Central West End, then about a mile walk northwards to the building of St. Johns United Methodist, where MCCGSL met for nearly a decade.   Daniel passed away in July 2007, knowing that the church's home was in question. But before the location on Sidney Street was secured, and subsequent developments of the new building in the Soulard Neighborhood.

Since 2007, we have "save space for gala" and had a page specific to this family which continues many of the causes Danny held dear to is heart.  During his time at MCC, Daniel was integral in the establishment of Ezekiel Project, an HIV outreach ministry, as well as the young adult ministry of the time known as "Generations"  (Now E3 Youth).
